The Essence of Aotearoa in Every Fibre
Bremworth’s latest collection, Āhuru, is more than carpet—it’s an invitation to embrace the warmth and beauty of New Zealand’s landscapes in the home.

Meaning “warm and cosy” in Te Reo, Āhuru reflects the essence of Aotearoa’s natural world, combining luxurious textures and colours inspired by the country’s diverse flora, fauna, and landforms. Created in collaboration with renowned New Zealand designers, this collection doesn’t just cover your floors; it brings the spirit of New Zealand’s landscapes indoors. From the clay-like tones of Kāmahi to the earthy greens of Moss (below) and the delicate greys of Koromiko, each hue in the Āhuru collection is carefully selected to evoke the sense of place that defines New Zealand.

With colours curated by talents like Emma Hayes, Liv Patience and Toni Brandso, Kristen Basra, and Annique Heesen, the collection’s colour palette is a love letter to Aotearoa. These designers (above) have transformed natural inspirations—from toetoe grass and native ferns to the morepork’s feathers—into shades that harmonize with contemporary interiors while celebrating the land.
There are seven shades of Āhuru, each colour a unique embodiment of its native inspiration.

Kāmahi’s warm mauve (above), designed by Emma Hayes, brings the grounded earthiness of the tree’s bark into your home.

Koromiko, envisioned by Kristen Basra, captures the calming grey-green tones of dried leaves used in traditional Rongoā practices, infusing any space with tranquility.

Annique Heesen’s Toka Ma, a soft, ecru shade inspired by white rock, evokes the rugged beauty of the Glenburn region, opening up rooms with a sense of airiness and warmth.

Each shade is an invitation to step closer to nature, to feel the lush forest floor beneath your feet with Moss, a rich, natural green. The soft brown-grey of Ruru (above), designed by Bremworth and inspired by the morepork owl’s plumage, and the pale golden hue of Kākaho (below), echoing the flower stems of native toetoe, offer a sense of serenity and sophistication. With Āhuru, every shade holds a story.

Crafted from 100% New Zealand wool, Āhuru carpets celebrate not only design but also sustainability. Wool’s natural resilience makes it a premium choice for those seeking durability and comfort. Beyond its luxurious feel, wool is hypoallergenic, fire-resistant, and easy to maintain. The natural properties of wool mean that it repels static, regulates humidity, and is naturally resistant to soil and stains— qualities that make it both beautiful and practical. There’s nothing quite like the sensory experience of wool underfoot. With its soft, plush pile, Āhuru carpets offer a luxurious embrace, a feeling of warmth that turns any room into a retreat.
Bremworth’s commitment to sustainable sourcing ensures that every carpet supports local farmers and the environment, with each fibre grown here in New Zealand. This dedication to sustainability extends beyond wool itself. Bremworth has donated over 30,000 native trees to Trees That Count since 2020, furthering their commitment to regenerating Aotearoa’s forests. Bremworth’s ethos isn’t just about interiors—it’s about contributing to the landscapes that inspire their designs.
The Āhuru collection stands as a testament to the beauty and comfort that only natural fibres can provide, inviting you to walk, relax, and unwind on surfaces that resonate with nature’s touch.
To experience the Āhuru collection in person, the Bremworth Experience Store at Residium offers an immersive setting where you can explore each shade and texture firsthand.
