Founded in 2005 by Charles Hinckfuss, MCM House was born from a simple yet ambitious vision: to create high-quality indoor and outdoor furniture that embodied the laid-back essence of the Australian lifestyle. Charles’ journey into design began with his early career in buying and selling antique furniture, which gave him a keen eye for timeless pieces. This foundation has shaped every collection at MCM House, blending classic sensibility with modern simplicity.

MCM House quickly became synonymous with chic linen lounges, natural materials, and clean, elegant lines. Charles’ approach to furniture design has always been rooted in creating luxury that feels accessible. His aim? To deliver beautiful interiors at an affordable price point, making great design something everyone can experience.

From his perspective, great design stimulates the senses, and it’s clear that MCM House reflects this belief in every piece they create. A lover of natural elements, Charles draws much of his inspiration from the world around him, often finding his most creative moments after a dip in the ocean. His passion for capturing ideas by hand, using written notes, is a reminder of his thoughtful, personal approach to design.

Charles continues to explore colour and form, pushing the boundaries of what modern, organic interiors can be. As MCM House grows, one thing remains constant: the brand’s commitment to blending understated luxury with affordability, and its dedication to offering spaces that feel both relaxed and sophisticated.

MONUMENT TRAVERTINE COFFEE TABLE 

The textured and matte surface of travertine exudes sophistication, while the natural variations in the stone add unique character to any living space. This stone is remarkably versatile in both finish and texture, offering a range that includes polished and smooth options, as well as matte and honed finishes. The flexibility of travertine allows for a variety of unique designs, enhancing its appeal in diverse settings. To complete the look, Monument also comes in square and round coffee tables, and square and round side tables.

JOE SOFA
